Carried Away

Christmas Eve we had a little shindig after church at my house. We opened presents and shared a few laughs. My daughter Rhaylee received a new Hanna Mantana wig ( it's the new thing). Apparently girls wanna be like Hanna (and so does my brother Ryan). You can say he got a little carried away trying to be the cool uncle. Maybe the stress of the year was weighing heavily on him and this was his way of releasing stress Joe Dirt style. Ok maybe everyone got carried away.

Christmas Eve

Tonight was pretty incredible. We all gathered together in the dome to celebrate God's gift to us, Jesus. So many people showed up. The band was kicking. I've got to shout out to a couple of people who without their help none of it would have been possible. Michael Laves- arrangment and band leader. The two Deavons- kicking out some killer flute solos. Ms. Tanner- for the beautiful sax solo. Heathow- you nailed O Holy Night. The Choir- ya'll sounded incredible. D-Shea- you pulled it together so last minute LOL. HOF Band- you guys are solid. Production- flipping switches and making us sound good. Pastor Scott- thanks for the encouragement and the opportunity.

Above all of that, I believe God is stirring us as the Church to reach out to those around us and share with them the joy that we have in Christ. Without the Gift God has given us, Jesus Christ, our sins would enslave us. Because of Jesus we can truly live in freedom.

Me and Greg are getting ready to go to our staff Christmas outing. Pastor Scott hooked us up with some cool Nike Storm jackets. The weather hasn't been appropriate, but you never know in Louisiana. One day it's 80 degrees and the next it's 30.

Fruitcake?

Today was my daughter Rhaylee's school Christmas play. She played the
role of Hermie the worm. Kids can be so cute at this age.
When I was her age my mom would have used a paper bag from A&P to make
my costume. Times have changed.
